Ah, a family day at the beach! It’s all fun in the sun — but what about the harmful rays of the sun?
Just a few bad sunburns in childhood can greatly increase the chance that your child will develop skin cancer later in life.
It’s especially important to protect infants and toddlers. Babies have thinner skin and underdeveloped melanin (the pigment that protects your skin against the sun), so their skin burns more easily than that of older kids.
